Boots and Bling Homecoming Dance

It's time for HOCO, y'all! Break out those boots, get fancied up, and join Navigators for an amazing time at our Boots and Bling Homecoming Dance! This is open to all middle school and high school students. You don't want to miss it! Here are the details...

  • Where: Loxley Civic Center 
  • When: Saturday, October 5th, 2024
  • Time: 6:00p-9:30p
  • Cost: $15.00 for members; $20 for non-members 
  • For: All homeschoolers ages 11-19
 
Details:
  • Our DJ will be playing a variety of country music as well as popular dance music, sure to scoot your boots! (All music will be pre-screened and free from profanity and vulgarity. Requests are accepted but since we pre-screen lyrics, not all will be played.)
  • Refreshments will be served.
  • Photo booth available.
  • 2 photographers- one at the photo booth and another taking candids.

 

RULES TO FOLLOW

  • Homeschool students ages 11-19 are invited. 
  • Navigators members may bring one guest at the discounted ticket price. 
  • Each attendee agrees to the appropriate Dress Requirements and Behaviors (see below).
  • Boy/girl relationships should remain appropriate. There will be no public display of affections (hand holding is acceptable).
  • Boy/Girl dancing should be modest, no provocative dancing will be allowed.

As a Christ centered organization, we expect students to adhere to standards that are pleasing to the Lord in regards to dress, behavior, speech and conduct. We uphold Biblical standards for gender-appropriate, modest dress (see attire guidelines below), and respectful behavior toward all attendees and chaperones. Please do your part to make this an enjoyable and memorable evening for all attendees.

 

DRESS CODE

Guys- Suits or dress pants and button down shirt. Because of the theme, jeans are permitted for this dance!

Girls- Modest semi-formal dresses, skirts and tops, jumpers, or feminine pantsuits are all acceptable. Because of the theme, "Sunday best" is permitted. 

See following for details:

  • No strapless tops or dresses
  • Neckline must not be lower than the width of your palm (place your thumb in the hollow point of your neck, laying your hand horizontally across your chest, fingers together)
  • Dresses and skirts must extend beyond the fingertips when the student extends arms downward along the sides or reach the mid-thigh, whichever is longer. 
  • Open backs are permitted but should not expose undergarments or other areas.
  • Attire should be distinct to the student's God-given biological gender.
  • Country western dresses/suits are strongly encouraged, but not required.

I understand these dress code requirements and agree to adhere to these standards. I understand that if my dress does not meet these requirements, I will not be permitted to attend the dance nor will I received a refund. I may, however, make the necessary alterations to be permitted to attend.

BY PURCHASING TICKETS PARTICIPANTS, GUESTS, AND PARENTS AGREE TO ADHERE TO THE RULES and any consequences if dress code or conduct code are not adhered to.
